This high quality flavorless and odorless clear oil has a guaranteed minimum content of 400 mg/g DHA. Antioxidants are added for stability and increased shelf life, allowing for storage of up to three years. This product is authorized by the EU as a Novel food, allowing it to be used in Infant formula feeding and follow-on formula products. The importance of DHA for infants
DHA is a crucial nutrient for the healthy development of growing infants. Of all our organs, the brain contains on of the highest levels of DHA, essential for healthy functioning and development. Accordingly, the European Food and Safety Authority (EFSA) recommends a minimum content of 20 mg DHA per 100 kcal of infant formula.
